We’re thrilled to announce that our in-person Countway Resource Fair is returning this fall!
 
Drop in Thursday, September 15 between 11am-6pm for our biggest annual event: we’ll be taking over the whole first floor and the L1 Atrium with exhibitor booths, food, giveaways, activities, and opportunities to learn about some of Countway’s incredible resources.

Together, At Last

2022 grads celebrate success while striving for change in a challenging time.

A sunny, warm spring day, replete with chirping birds and flowers in full bloom, was a fitting backdrop for a celebration years in the making, as graduates of Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine gathered with faculty, family, and friends for an in-person Class Day on the HMS Quad.

Graduation is a day of ceremony and celebration at Harvard University and Harvard Medical School. Students are granted the MD and any other advanced degrees they have earned, they are hooded and they receive their diplomas.

Graduation traditionally consists of two parts: the Commencement Ceremony and Class Day.

Pandemic Project: Student Constance Wu on what inspired a COVID-19 children’s book

More than 160 graduating Harvard Medical School students will match to their residency programs this spring and move on to the next phase of their medical careers after graduation. Constance Wu, an MD student in the joint Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology program, is one of them. She found time in the midst of the past year and her demanding studies to, among other things, illustrate a children’s book on COVID-19 written by classmate Katherine Redfield. Wu talked with HM News about what the past year has been like and what she’s hoping for the future.

Revisit is held each year in April and is an opportunity for admitted applicants to visit campus for a second look before making their final decision as to which medical school they will attend. The Office of the Committee on Admissions partners with the Offices of Student Affairs and Recruitment and Multicultural Affairs to plan a comprehensive and exciting schedule of events. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Revisit 2020 will be now be hosted virtually. Admitted HMS MD and MD-PhD students will be invited to register in order to access the online platform.

Information for new students coming soon! Orientation is tentatively scheduled for the week of August 3-7th, 2020. Orientation events include JAAM (Justice, Advocacy and Activism in Medicine) and FEAT (First-year Education Adventure Trip).
