Series: Financial Freedom Rx - Fall 2023
Dr. Chirag Shah MD, MPH hosted a weekly financial planning series in 4 segments. Dr. Shah is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and the Co-Director of the Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship. He has recently co-authored a book on personal finance for physicians, “Financial Freedom Rx: The Physician’s Guide to Achieving Financial Independence.”

Dr. Ned Palmer, MD MPH hosted a 4-part financial literacy series that provides financial information to help prepare you for your entire career as a physician. As the Co-Founder of Panacea Financial, a national digital bank for physicians, residents, and medical students, Dr. Palmer is acutely aware of the financial struggles of medical trainees.
These sessions provide practical knowledge you can begin to implement as a student. Academically, Dr. Palmer is in the global health faculty at Boston Children's Hospital, as well as at Harvard Medical School in the Center for Bioethics.
