Dr. Sequist will receive the 2022 Michael Shannon, MD, MPH, Excellence in Mentoring award at the event.
Dr. Sequist is a member of the Taos Pueblo tribe in New Mexico and has conducted influential health policy research to advance our understanding of health care for Native American communities. He serves as the Director of the Four Directions Summer Research Program and the Medical Director of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Physician Outreach Program with the Indian Health Service.
