 In her role as the Residential Life Manager at Vanderbilt Hall, Alexis lives in the dormitory to serve as a resource in promoting the individual and professional growth and development of student residents. Alexis will collaborate with twenty-five Resident Advisors to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive home for all students and will develop programming to help meet the residents' needs and interests. Alexis comes to us with a great passion for building community especially in residence halls. In her new role, Alexis also serves as a liaison between Vanderbilt Hall and the PME Office​s of Student Affairs​, as well as the same offices in Graduate Education and the Dental School.

Alexis was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst​ where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and was involved on campus as a Resident Assistant, Teaching Assistant, New Students Orientation Counselor and University Tour Guide. After earning her undergraduate degree, Alexis was accepted to the Boston Teacher Residency program where she obtained her Master of Education. She also taught middle and high school English in the Boston Public Schools. Alexis joins us after working for the past two years in developing engaging programming for senior residents of the Julia Martin House as part of the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys taking walks with her beloved dog, Aiden, watching documentaries, and crafting with friends. Alexis’ office is in Vanderbilt Hall in Room 166.
