The Academy at Harvard Medical School and the Program in Medical Education are sponsoring the annual Harvard Medical Education Day on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. The event will take place in the Tosteson Medical Education Center, 12:00-7:00 PM with lunch and registration from noon-one and programming beginning at 1:00 PM. All HMS faculty, residents, and students are invited to attend and are eligible to participate. The day will feature poster and technology presentations of both completed projects and works-in-progress related to the education of medical students, house staff, or faculty in the following areas: curriculum development, assessment, faculty development, educational research, or the use of technology to enhance education.
Medical Education Day features workshops/seminars and a plenary session with a keynote address. This year's event will be organized around HMS's five societal themes (Health Equity/Health Disparities, Trauma-Informed Care, Substance Use and Pain, Sexual and Gender Minority Health, Aging Population/End-of-Life Care) and Interprofessionalism.
We are excited to announce that this year's plenary speaker will be the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Monica Bharel, MD, MPH.
